Welcome to WAF–2012 with this year’s theme: Complete Integration and Emancipation of Women and Children: Road map to the actualization of Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
In today’s frenetic socio-economic and political society, gender issues to a large extent has affected the developmental progress of the society especially in the area of gender equality vis-à-vis the actualization of millennium development goals in developing nations. Efforts to establish a political, economic or social future for a woman is near impossible due to the challenges and obstacles encountered by women/girl-child ranging from cultural to social bottlenecks. In some situations societal or environmental stigmatization portrays the greatest threat.
